Since, God is the owner of everything we have, we need to be good stewards of the money which He has entrusted to us. We need to invest wisely. We need to live within our means. We need to save money. We need to avoid unnecessary debt. We need to prepare for the future. We need to give to our church. Example: life of Joseph
Some families have enough money to be undisciplined and get away with it. But true financial freedom requires that we be good stewards. That is only possible with self-discipline.” I believe, that is the principle in Lk. 14:28-30
We are all stewards of God’s resources. We need to use them to enhance and promote God’s Kingdom, so we can hear commendation by the master in the end. Joseph is a great example in OT or or faithful Steward in Genesis 41:41-42. 41 So Pharaoh said to Joseph, “I hereby put you in charge of the whole land of Egypt. 42 Then Pharaoh took his signet ring from his finger and put in on Joseph’s finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck.” Eph 2:10 10 “For we are God’”s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do so.”
